The Shirogane is a Banpresto Original Mecha debuting in Super Robot Wars Original Generation. It is the first Space Noah-class battleship created.

Technological and Historical

OG Series

With the threat of hostile extraterrestrial lifeforms becoming apparent with the battle at Pluto's orbit and the descent of Meteor-3, the Terra Federation Forces set out to build specialized anti-alien battleships, later known as the Space Noah-class. Ships of this class were constructed using the Super Drag Alloy, giving them excellent durability to operate within atmosphere, in outer space or under deep sea, in addition to withstanding normal combat. A gigantic cone-shaped Tesla Drive mounted on the rear is utilized for basic levitation, while primary propulsion is provided by the 8 main rocket engines surrounding it. When escaping the atmosphere or during an emergency, the Tesla Drive and rocket engines can be pushed to full power and provide maximum thrust, a process knwon as "Overboost". Particularly, Space Noah-class ships excel in ISA (Integrated Synchronizing Attack) tactics, involving a mobile mothership capable of rapidly deploying and working with humanoid mobile weapons to carry out blitzkrieg attacks on enemy positions. Regarding the development of the Space Noah-class, there were 2 main polar opinions, which were to either purpose the ships as escort for the Earth Escape Fleet, or as Personal Trooper-loaded anti-alien combat motherships. In order to undermine the Earth Escape Project favored by politicians, the Space Noah-class developers gave the ships combat capabilities as proposed with the Earth Sphere Defense Project. As a result of these two overlapping opinions, the ships were designed with a swappable bow module system, allowing them to quickly and flexibly fulfill various roles as the situation dictates.

The Shirogane is the first Space Noah-class battleship created. Its default bow module is a high-capacity hangar installed with additional catapults. This grants the ship with the highest storage and unit deployment capabilities among the first 3 Space Noah-class ships. The ship's callsign is Platinum 1.

SRW OG1/SRW OGs1

The Shirogane was first unveiled during the top-secret Antartic meeting between Terra Federation officials and Guest emissaries, stationed there along with several mobile weapons in case anything goes awry. Unfortunately, the worst-case scenario happened, with EOTI Organization's Shu Shirakawa betraying the Terra Federation, using his Granzon to wipe out the Guest squadron and most of the surrounding Federation forces. The Shirogane was powerless against the Granzon's Black Hole Cluster, losing a large portion of its front bow module along with numerous casualties. Daitetsu Minase and the SRX Team were some of the few survivors of the incident, which was followed by the Divine Crusaders' declaration of war, marking the beginning of the DC War.

The Terra Federation's EOT Special Inquiry Council managed to get Isurugi Industries to repair the Shirogane at Antartica Base following the DC War, before planning to head to Nevi'im with the ship in an attempt to enter negotiations with the Aerogaters, guided by Nibhal Mubhal. The base came under attack from Aerogater forces however, and despite the Hagane and Kurogane's best efforts to fend them off, the Shirogane's bridge section was destroyed by Viletta Vadim's Ezekiel, killing most of the EOT Council members present there, though Nibhal escaped.

The Shirogane once again underwent repairs, and was restored to combat-ready state just in time to participate in the decisive Operation SRW against the Aerogaters. It survived through the L5 Campaign.

SRW OG2/SRW OGs2

Following the L5 Campaign, the Shirogane was assigned to Lieutenant Colonel Lee Linjun. At the start of OG2, the ATX Team was temporarily stationed on the Shirogane during several mop-up operations on DC remnants, before being moved to the Hagane in response to increased activity from said remnants. Later on during the conflict, Lee was eager to achieve combat results, and was thus deceived by a Shadow Mirror trap, leading to the Shirogane being hijacked and captured by Shadow Mirror forces. Finding himself sympathizing with Shadow Mirror's ideals, Lee decided to defect to their side, continuing his role as the Shirogane's captain there. The Shirogane was then utilized as one of Shadow Mirror's flagships for the rest of the eventual 4-way conflict, even successfully inflicting heavy damage to the Hagane during Operation Plantagenet, leading to Captain Daitetsu being killed in action. During the final showdown outside Nevi'im, the Shirogane went up against the Kurogane, which was commandeered by Lee's fated rival Tetsuya Onodera, who inherited Daitetsu's position after his death. The Kurogane sunk the Shirogane with its Bow Giant Rotating Ram in OG2, killing Lee along with it, while OGs2 ended the clash with the Shirogane heavily damaged but still intact, giving Lee a chance to retreat.

The Shirogane was never seen again after OGs.

A special projectile used to reduce enemies' accuracy.

• Weapon Breaker (ウェポンブレイカー)

A special projectile used to reduce enemies' attack damage.

• Anti-Air Autocannon (対空機関砲 | Taikuu Kikanhou)

Twin-barrelled anti-air turrets mounted around the ship used to intercept enemies within close proximity. Two of them are located on the conning tower, two more on the deck, and the last pair below the ship.

• Bow Torpedo (艦首魚雷 | Kanshu Gyorai)

Torpedoes fired from launching tubes located at the bow.

• Homing Missile (ホーミングミサイル)

Missiles fired from VLS launchers built into the bow's topside. Has high accuracy.

• Secondary Battery (連装副砲 | Rensou Fukuhou)

The Shirogane's secondary weapons, twin-barrelled cannon batteries firing solid ammunition. 2 of them are mounted on the ship's port and starboard.

• Twin Impact Cannon (連装衝撃砲 | Rensou Shougekihou)

The Shirogane's primary weapons, an array of large-caliber twin-barrelled beam cannons. Out of the first 3 ships, the Shirogane is equipped with the most amount of Impact Cannons. A total of 9 cannons can be seen, with 3 on the deck, 2 next to the conning tower and 4 below the ship. Only the 2 upper deck cannons are used during battle animations. ALLW Attack from OGs onwards.

Special Equipment

• Tesla Drive (テスラドライブ)

A device capable of separation between gravitational and inertial mass and provide spatial propulsion by spreading action points throughout a specialized T-Dot Array field. Standard equipment on many mobile weapons. Reflected in-game as the Shirogane's flight capability.

• E-Field (Eフィールド)

Short for Energy Field. Protective energy barrier deployed around the ship for defense. Reflected in-game as a Special Ability.
