The Sealion (シーリオン), is a Banpresto Original Mecha debuting in Super Robot Wars OG: Original Generations. Part of the Lion Series, it is a variant of the Lion.

Technological and Historical

OG Series

Also known as the Lion Type-S, the Sealion was developed as the aquatic combat variant of the Lion, replacing the standard legs with those installed with electronic propulsion turbines. This grants the Sealion excellent underwater mobility and high stealth, however its specialized usage and lack of weapons reduces its utility. It is still capable of short-range flight using Tesla Drives and leg sub-verniers, however the machine is not suited for aerial combat.

The Sealion was mass-produced by Isurugi Heavy Industries and fielded in large numbers by the DC during the DC War. As the war ended, the TFF's Mass-Production Gespenst Mk-II were in shortage, leading to the incorporation of a large amount of surviving Armored Troopers into the Terra Federation Forces. Since the Sealion is not capable of space combat, it did not play a large role during the L5 Campaign.

Following the L5 Campaign, the Federation gradually replaced Armored Modules with the new-generation Mass-Production Huckebein Mk-II. Though outdated, the Sealions were still employed by DC remnants.

Several Sealion units were manufactured and used by Duminas and her Techniti Paides.
