Saya (沙夜) is an agent of the Ouma organization on Earth who first debuted in the action/tactical RPG, Namco x Capcom for the Playstation 2 as its main antagonist. She is a 1,000-year-old Japanese werefox and Reiji Arisu's arch-nemesis. Despite this, she tends to be flirty towards Reiji, which pisses him off to no end due to his belief that she murdered his father, Shogo Arisu.
Namco X Capcom[]
Endless Frontier: SRWOG Saga[]
After the events of Namco x Capcom, Saya had escaped to the Endless Frontier with Xiaomu and Reiji decided to follow using the flux.
She was fought as a boss several times during the game and eventually returned to the original world. However, as she left, she mentioned a "Tsukomo Project".
Endless Frontier EXCEED: SRWOG Saga[]
After Project X Zone, she was summoned to the Endless Frontier by Lok Eye. Agrado Heim had taken the Byakushin developed by Ouma, so she followed Lok to either recapture or destroy it. Eventually, Lok abandoned it, but she agreed with Reiji that Byakushin shouldn't be left in the Endless Frontier. In response, she joined as a support member. Despite being originally hostile, she was oddly friendly towards the other party members (although there are scenes where she says that she's "using them" for the time being).
When she returned to the original world, she mentioned a "101 Embryo Plan".
Moveset[]

Trivia[]
- Her Overdrive, Shunka Shuuto, is named after the four seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter, in contrast to the five elements of her rivals' Shinra Banshou Overdrive.
- In fact, there's speculation that because her and Reiji's fighting styles are so similar (his fighting style was a closely-guarded family secret), and because she can transfer he consciousness into different bodies (which's how she survived the end of Namco X Capcom), that she might have transferred into the body of Reiji's mother before the events of NxC, namely 10 years beforehand when she fought Shogo.
