In all timelines, the Weissritter was upgraded into the Rein Weissritter after Excellen and her machine were captured by the Einst, modified using unknown technology. The inner metallic frame has been transformed into a flexible and durable skeletal structure, while the power transmission systems has been mutated into muscle-like material. The Tesla Drive on the Weissritter's rear has been changed into a series of bat-like wings while still keeping the functions of the original device, while also offering further flight maneuverability through the flexibility of the wings. The camera eyes and sensors on the Weissritter's head has been incorporated with Einst sensory organs, with the red orb on the forehead serving as a thought transmission device for the Einst to link with. The Weiss' main weapon, the Oxtongue Launcher, has been mutated into the more powerful Howling Launcher, with limited shapeshifting capabilities. Overall, the Rein Weissritter is an uncanny upgrade to the original Weissritter, enhancing on the machine's basic concept as an agile long-range sniping unit, and a worthy partner unit for the upgraded Alteisen Riese.
Compact/Impact Series[]
SRW Compact 2.3/SRW Impact P3[]
After being abducted by the Einst, the brainwashed Excellen's Weissritter was enhanced into the Rein Weissritter and fought against the heroes on many occasions, notably against Kyousuke Nanbu's Alteisen Riese. After the Alteisen Riese managed to shatter the red core unit on the Weiss' forehead which was controlling the mecha, the Weissritter was released from the Einst's control, with Excellen regaining her senses. If all of the Shin Getter Robo secret requirements were fulfilled by the player, the Rein Weissritter will revert back to the original Weissritter after the destruction of the core unit. In Impact, the return of the original Weissritter would allow usage of the Rampage Ghost attack.
OG Series[]
For the OG2 timeline, the Rein Weissritter was made by adding Einst-made armor parts onto the PT, however in OGs2 the Weiss had its basic frame chasis altered from the ground up, equipped with highly flexible materials in the joints and limbs, allowing for a great degree of human-like motion, which was even remarked as being the pinnacle of what Personal Troopers strive for.
SRW OG2/SRW OGs2[]
Similar to its Compact/Impact counterpart, the Einst-controlled Rein Weissritter was pitted against the heroes, however Excellen regained her senses simply due to the Einst no longer needing her for their plans, thus releasing her from their will. With her Rein Weissritter, Excellen fought alongside her comrades until the end of the Inspector War. In OG2, after defeating the Neu Regisseur/Stern Neu Regisseur at the war's end, the mecha's Einst-made organic parts crumbled to pieces, reverting it back to the original Weissritter. This doesn't happen in OGs2, and the Weiss got to keep its upgrade for the later games.
SRW OGG[]
The Rein saw action once again during the Bartoll Incident and Shura Turbulence, where it was first deployed along with the rest of the ATX Team to intercept a squad of Bartolls abducting civillians at Asakusa.
Armaments & Attacks[]
Split Missile (スプリットミサイル)
Standard armament seen on Gespenst-related machines, it is essentially a deployable missile container loaded with 6 missiles. After launching, the container's front cover is jettisoned and the missiles within fly towards their target. Inherited from the Weissritter.
Plasma Cutter (プラズマカッター)
An energy saber equipped for close-range combat, inherited from Weissritter. Only seen in Compact 2.
A three-barreled beam cannon mounted on the Rein Weissritter's left arm, inherited from the Weissritter.
Howling Launcher (ハウリング・ランチャー)
Originally Weissritter's Oxtongue Launcher, mutated into a more orthodox shape. It still retains the E and B Modes like the original Launcher, and through limited shapeshifting it can materialize a third launcher barrel to use in the Howling Launcher X attack. The Launcher's stock is also equipped with a whip-like attachment that can be used for various purposes.
Howling Launcher E (ハウリング・ランチャーE)
The "E" stands for "Energy". The Weiss repeatedly fires beam blasts from the lower barrel of the Howling Launcher while moving at flashing speeds with afterimage, assaulting the enemy with an immense beam barrage. This move is often compared to Gundam F91's M.E.P.E Attack.
Howling Launcher B (ハウリング・ランチャーB)
The "B" stands for "Bullet". Rein Weissritter fires armor-piercing shells from the upper barrel of the Howling Launcher. Although it has shorter reach compared to E Mode, it significantly packs more power.
Solo Attacks[]
Howling Launcher X (オクスタン・ランチャーX)
The Howling Launcher's muzzle shapeshifts from a twin-barrel type to a triple-barrel type, which is then used to fire a gigantic beam at the target. From OGs onwards, the Weiss will first bombard the enemy with a salvo of Howling Launcher B blasts from all directions at supersonic speed before using the X Mode.
Combination Attacks[]
Rampage Ghost (ランページ・ゴースト)
Combination attack between Alteisen Riese and Rein Weissritter. There are different attack animations depending on the game:
OG2: Both machines fire their Quintuple Chain Gun and Triple Beam Cannon respectively, before the Weiss charges in and slashes the enemy with its Plasma Horn, sending them flying upwards as the Rein snipes them down with a Howling Launcher E blast. The Alt then sends them back up with a full payload of Revolving Bunker charges followed by numerous zero-range Howling Launcher B shots from the Weiss, and finally with a simultaneous barrage of Avalanche Claymore and Howling Launcher X to wrap things up.
OGs: Alteisen Riese rushes in, as Rein Weissritter provides covering fire with numerous Howling Launcher E blasts while moving at flashing speeds, before the Alt slashes the enemy with its Plasma Horn. The Weiss then delivers two Howling Launcher B shots from the other side as the Alt follows with an Avalanche Claymore barrage. Finally, with the Weiss firing its Howling Launcher X, the Alt impales the enemy with the Revolving Bunker and directs it towards the Weiss' firing path, as both units shorten their distance in a pincer move before flying past the enemy, followed by a finishing explosion.
2nd OG: Both units charge in, with Alteisen Riese first striking with a Quintuple Chain Gun barrage, followed by numerous Howling Launcher E blasts from above by Rein Weissritter. The Alt then blasts the enemy away with a single Bunker charge, with the Weiss approaching and firing three Howling Launcher B shots at the hurled enemy before giving them a zero-range E blast. The Alt then sends them back with a Bunker charge from the other side, as the target is blasted back and forth between 2 mecha in this manner for 3 times. After their Catch-and-Release routine, the Weiss whacks the enemy with the Howling Launcher before the Alt unleashes the Avalanche Claymore, and finally with a simultaneous zero-range Revolving Bunker and Howling Launcher X blast to wrap things up, resulting in a large beam pillar riddled with explosions.

Notes[]
Weissritter is German for white knight (although it's a literal translation and grammatically incorrect; "Weisser Ritter" is the correct form). Rein Weissritter would mean pure white knight.
