The Huckebein Mk-III Trombe is a modified version of the Mk-III Type-R, now painted in Ratsel Feinschmaker's personal red-black colors. The Multi-Trace Missile pods have been swapped out and replaced with Tesla Drives, giving the mecha flight capabilities within atmosphere, along with a Plasma Generator as its power source, unlike the Type-L's Tronium Engine. It is also incapable of combining with the AM Parts.
Alpha Series[]
SRW Alpha 2[]
In Alpha 2, the Huckebein Mk-III Type-R will be passed on to Ratsel from Arado after he switches to the Wildwurger (Arado Route) or discovered in an abandoned state by Ratsel (other routes) and modified into the Mk-III Trombe. Ratsel will use it as his personal unit for the remainder of Alpha 2 and up to Alpha 3, until he gets the Aussenseiter.
The Huckebein Mk-III Type-R, developed on Mao Industries' Moon facility, was completed before the Type-L and installed with Tesla Drives for atmospheric testing on Earth. The mecha was entrusted to Ratsel Feinschmaker, who requested it to be painted in his personal colors and dubbed it as "Trombe". It was first seen fielded in combat when used to escort several residents of the Inspector-taken Tesla Leicht Institute in their escape, as well as dispatching enemy forces along the way until the escapees' Ladybug shuttle reaches the Hiryuu Kai. Ratsel then took his Mk-III Trombe and separated from the group in order to deliver the Grungust Type-3 that was on the shuttle to Sänger Zonvolt, before later tracking down the stolen Shirogane to a Shadow-Mirror base, where the two also assisted Lamia Loveless in her escape from said base. Eventually, the Mk-III Trombe will take part in Ratsel and Sanger's operation to retake the Tesla Institute, where it will be left pilotless after the battle due to Ratsel switching to the Aussenseiter. If certain conditions are met, the Mk-III Trombe will be reverted back to its original Type-R form, loaded with the final Tronium Engine available and stored on the Hagane before the Earth Cradle capturing operation.
Two rapidly firing machine guns mounted on the Mk-III Trombe's head. They're not very effective on Personal Troopers and similar sized enemies, but they're good for destroying small fighters and ground targets. Twin Vulcan is the Alpha name while Vulcan Cannon is the OG name.
Roche Saber (ロシュセイバー)
Energy swords equipped by the Mk-III Trombe, based on those used by the Huckebein. The energy blade is generated through gravity waves utilizing the Gravi-Con System. Swappable weapon in OG.
Photon Rifle (フォトン・ライフル)
A handheld rifle that fires photon particles, same type used by the Huckebein Mk-II. Swappable Weapon in OG.
Rectangular Launcher (レクタングル・ランチャー)
A large, box-shaped handheld long-range cannon developed as a weapon for the Mass-Production Huckebein Mk-II. Only seen in OG, when the Trombe was being used to fend off Inspector forces attacking the Tesla Institute escapees.
Boosted Rifle (ブーステッド・ライフル)
Originally developed for the R-1, this is a sniper rifle-like weapon that fires solid rounds. Only seen in OG, during Ratsel and Sanger's raid on the Shadow-Mirror base storing the Shirogane.
Leap Slasher (リープ・スラッシャー)
A weapon originally developed for the Huckebein. Six miniature arc pieces are released from the Trombe, which then combine into a circular beam-emitting ring mid-air and sent to attack the enemy.
Fang Slasher (ファング・スラッシャー)
A new weapon for the Mk-III, stored on the left forearm. When used, the weapon opens up into a large cross-shaped shuriken and is thrown at the enemy. The weapon's edges also emit beams for extra damage.
Graviton Rifle (グラビトン・ライフル)
The Mk-III Trombe's second new weapon, it is essentially a miniaturized version of the Huckebein Mk-II's G-Impact Cannon, now wieldable with one arm. Although less powerful than its base model, it is still quite a formidable weapon, and its compact size allows for more flexibility on the battlefield. When used, the Rifle is seen emerging from a within warp field in Alpha, however with Alpha 2 onwards it is deployed to the Mk-III externally through the use of purgeable booster parts. OG-exclusive.
Graviton Rifle BST (グラビトン・ライフルBST)
Seemingly a variant of the Graviton Rifle, it is seen equipped on the Mk-III Trombe in Alpha 2. As the weapon has now became an ALL Attack instead of the older model's Single Attack, it can be speculated that the Graviton Rifle BST has a wider firing range compared to the previous version.
