An upgraded Guarlion Custom belonging to the mercenary Murata, heavily modified for swordfighting. Powerful thrusters have been installed on the shoulders to enhance charging power, while extra armor has been added throughout the body to increase durability during melee combat. Its primary weapon is a Shishiou Blade which Murata has stolen.
SRW OG Chronicle[]
First appearance, debuting in Chapter 1: "When the Nimble Rabbit Dies, the Hunting Dog is Cooked?". Part of the DC remnant force which took the Tesla Reich Institute hostage, it heavily damaged Brooklyn Luckfield's Huckebein Mk-II, though Bullet managed to escape and board Kusuha Mizuha's Grungust Type-2 stored within the Institute. After an intense battle, the Mumyou was defeated in combat by the Type-2's Boost Knuckle.
SRW OGs2[]
OG Chronicle's first chapter was adapted as Stage 4 and 5 of OGs2. The Mumyou dueled the Grungust Type-2 just like in the manga, but this time around Murata retreated before the Mumyou could take further damage. It later fought the Hiryuu Kai's crew in space, notably against the Giganscudo, but was repelled after Giganscudo was upgraded into Giganscudo Duro mid-battle.
SRW OGG[]
The Mumyou intercepted the Kurogane crew and clashed blades with Sanger Sombold's DyGenGuar for the first time. It later participated in the battle at Wong Industries' HQ at Dalian, where Kyle Bean and his swarm of Bartolls fought against the Hagane crew. A while later, Murata ambushed the R-1 and ART-1 along with squadrons of Lions and Bartolls at a remote island during a combination attack test run of the two transformable machines, but was driven away by none other than the aforementioned combination attack as well as their reinforcements.
2nd SRW OG[]
Murata and his machine was teleported to La Gias as part of the Surface Dweller Summoning Incident, where he assisted the Bagonia Army and clashed swords once more with the DyGenGuar.
Armaments & Attacks[]
Armaments[]
Machine Cannon (マシンキャノン)
A pair of machine cannons built into the chest.
Burst Railgun (バースト・レールガン)
A long-range handheld railgun. Drawing power from a cylindrical battery mounted in front of the grip, the railgun electromagnetically guides and accelerates ammunition out of the barrel. Originally developed for the Guarlion, it can also be used by Personal Troopers due to the Universal Connector at the weapon's handle.
Kodachi (official name unknown)
A small kodachi blade stored within the right shoulder armor. It is only used during the Mumyou - Nitou Jinki Zan attack.
Shishiou Blade (シシオウブレード)
Handheld combat blade shaped after a Nihontou, forged at the Tesla Reich Institute under the supervision of skilled swordsman Rishuu Tougou, who also developed for Motion Pattern data to use it. It is made from VG Alloy seen in the Grungust Series, resulting in excellent flexibility and durability. Murata stole one of the created blades and equipped it on his Mumyou.
The weapon's name is taken from the real-life sword "Shishiou" (獅子王 | Lion King), a Tachi thought to have been created since the Heian Period over 1000 years ago.
The Guarlion Custom "Mumyou"'s ultimate attack. Wielding the Shishiou Blade in its right hand and kodachi in the left, the Mumyou repeatedly stabs the enemy with the kodachi before further kicking the kodachi into the target, then finishes with a Shishiou Blade slash.
