Gagun Laos (ガグン・ラウズ Gagn rath) is a fictional character in the Super Robot Wars OG Saga series and the main antagonist in Endless Frontier EXCEED: Super Robot Wars OG Saga. While he looks similar to Wodan Ymir, his true form is Gymnos Basileus (ギムノス・バシレウス ), a spirit with the ability to hijack (mostly artificial) bodies. When he collects enough souls at the end of the game, he becomes the Svaiser (スヴァイサー ).

History[]
Endless Frontier EXCEED []
Gymnos' original body had been lost in stopping the out-of-control Weltbaum Tree, the World Tree of Agrado Heim. Reduced to a spirit, he then took control of W-05, a spare body originally meant for Wodan. He gained followers such as Lok Eye, Rig The Guard, Hild Brun, and the Gand siblings, to form Agrado Heim. He then took control of Ark-On temporarily to help him harvest Mild Kiel crystals.
Gagun's ultimate goal revolves around trying to gather enough restless souls to power their own World Tree to cross to another dimension. This is the reason why they made war with the Shura, but also the reason why they seek the surviving Einst, bringing chaos across the Endless Frontier and attempt to corrupt the Fujisakura. Were they to succeed, they plan to start the process all over again.

Trivia[]
- Gagun Laos & Svaiser are based on Odin:
- "Gagnrath(Gagnráðr)" is one of Odin's names. It means "Advantage Counsel", which makes it ironic that his end result is Agrado Heim's collapse.
- While a proper translation of "Svaiser" isn't currently availiable, possible translations for this name include "Svidur(Sviðurr)" meaning "Wise One" and "Svipall" meaning "changing, fleeting, or shape-shifter", which are both names for Odin.
- Both forms utilize a spear.
- Svaiser's Gold Bangle refers to Odin's gold bracelet, Draupnir
- Since Gagun is based on Wodan Ymir, Svaiser ends up being based on Thrudgelmir.
- Svaiser's Hoshi Ugi no Shingo is based on Thrudgelmir's Zankantou Hoshinagi no Tachi.
