Personality and Traits[]
He's a member of the humanoid race, "Shura" who live only to fight. He's hot-blooded, with a strong desire to defeat Folka in combat, but deep down feels like he can't catch up to him. These feelings are used to turn him into a relentless berserker. He is also an expert of the fighting style Machine God Fist (機神拳 Kishin Ken).
History[]
Fernando fought against Folka in a holy death match to decide who would be promoted to the rank of Shura General. Fernando lost and was sure that Folka would kill him. To his shock, Folka instead spared his life and ran off being a fugitive. This humiliated Fernando and he swore to hunt down Folka and make him pay for his lost honor. He would encounter Folka many times, and was still defeated, and every time he demanded Folka to kill him he was not given such a death. When Fernando returned to the Shura base, he was subjected to an experiment by Mizal Touval, which altered his strength, and gave him new capabilities. However, this left him in a berserker-like state, which was amplified by his hatred towards Folka. It also caused his Valefor to evolve into its true form, allowing the Shura God to be equally on par with Folka's Apotheosized Ialdabaoth. However, when Mizal had Altis killed, Fernando's hatred towards Mizal to allow one of his brothers killed surpassed his burning rage towards Folka and he attacked Mizal instead. Fernando was later brought back to his senses, thanks to a cure developed by Shura General Maythis Mark, and together with her and Folka he destroyed Mizal for good.
Fernando then contemplated joining Folka in his crusade to find a new way of life for Shura, until Shura King Alkaid Nassh emerged. Fernando opted to buy some time for Folka and attacked the Shura King, but was killed in retaliation, leaving his will to Folka, and finally dying with no regrets.
Trivia[]
- Fernando appears in the bonus segments of Super Robot Wars Original Generations and was briefly playable (he was a non-playable character in Compact 3, during the short time he allied with Folka) and reappears in Super Robot Wars Original Generation Gaiden.
- His last name was changed to Arduke making him and Folka not related by blood. Here, Fernando is spared his Compact 3 fate and he joins Folka in facing Alkaid.
