Crayon Shin-chan (クレヨンしんちゃん Kureyon Shin-chan?), also known as Shin-chan, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yoshito Usui. It follows the adventures of the five-year-old Shinnosuke "Shin-chan" Nohara and his family and friends. Crayon Shin-chan first appeared in 1990 in a Japanese weekly magazine called Weekly Manga Action, which is published by Futabasha.

An anime adaptation of the series began airing on TV Asahi in 1992, which has over 940 episodes and 25 full-length films. The series has been dubbed in 30 languages in 45 countries. Crayon Shin-chan is one of the highest grossing animated franchises and more than 100 million copies of the manga have been sold worldwide. Due to the death of author Yoshito Usui, the manga in its original form ended on September 11, 2009. A new manga began in the summer of 2010 by members of Usui's team, titled New Crayon Shin-chan (新クレヨンしんちゃん Shin Kureyon Shin-chan?).

With the release of the film Crayon Shin-chan: Fast Asleep! The Great Assault on Dreamy World!, Crayon Shin-chan appeared in Super Robot Wars X-Ω in a limited time event on April 2016, also promoting the film. Similar to the film, Shin-chan ends up in a "dream world", where he is able to pilot the Kuntam Robo from a TV show that he likes.
