Technical And Historical[]
The Canis one of the units developed by the Gaia Sabers and is used by the Alpha Saber. Developed based on data on the Inspector's unmanned transformable weapon Rest Gemira (Codenamed Geminira by the Earth Forces), inherited from the Rest Gemira is it's flexible frame construction and versitility however in order to keep production costs down the transformation mechanism is omitted, the Canis also mounts a high performance Tesla Drive giving it high speed flight capability, for armaments it is fitted with a standard Roche Saber for standard melee combat, for ranged combat the Canis carries the handheld Double Gunnery which is capable of firing both solid or beam shots similar to the Weiss Ritter's Ochstan Launcher, due to quick development of the Canis and its quick mass production it's speculated Altuer Steinback acquired the Rest Gemira data from another source.
A variant of the Canis, the Canis Altarf is also developed as a high performance mobile weapon, it features a a higher performance Tesla Drive for higher speeds and mounts an Double Gunnery which mounts a retractable bayonet on the weapons barrel, the frame also featured a Machine Cell system to allow for regeneration allowing it recover from damage to a limited degree, however the Altraf would be destroyed by Ing Egret's use of the Ex Exbein's Blackhole Buster Cannon.
These units were deployed during the Sealing War as one of the mass-production unit developed by the Gaia Sabers and would be used against the convicted Steel Dragon Squad a number of times, the last time they would be seen during that war would be during an ambush against the Steel Dragons made by Elde Mitte, however the remaining units under her control were absorbed into AI1 and subsequently destroyed. Later following the destruction of Ashery Kreutzer Industries the Hagane crew are ambushed by several Canis who were believed to be part of the Gaia Saber remnants, they would later appear when the Hagane team had gone to Monte Dirupo to investigate a crash site and the last time in Egypt following the raid on Debudibadibe's Pyramid.
