One of the prototype units of Series 77 developed under Project TD, with the codename "Beta Proto". It was originally designed for space exploration, but was equipped with weapons at the request of Isurugi Heavy Industries, the sponsor of the project. Installed with the latest Tesla Drive model, the Calion exerts fantastic mobility and maneuverability, capable of achieving excellent combat results depending on the pilot's skill.
4 units were built, with the red-colored Unit 1 piloted by Sleigh Presty and the white-colored Unit 4 piloted by Ibis Douglas. The Calion served as basis for the "Beta" unit of Series 77, the Vegalion.
SRW OG2/SRW OGs2[]
The Calions were built and tested at the Tesla Reich Institute, with Sleigh and Ibis as the pilots, fending off occasional attacks by the Neue DC. When the Inspectors came to take over the Institute, Sleigh and Ibis along with some others escaped in a Ladybug, bringing the Calions with them. Soon after however, Sleigh deserted the transport in order to have a proper duel with Ibis, which ended with Calion Unit 4 destroyed. Still not yet satisfied, Sleigh declared Ibis as her enemy from now on and took off in Unit 1, and later joining Neue DC. Despite so, she did arrive to provide support for Ibis and her friends on 2 more occasions, at the start of Operation Plantagenent on the US West Coast and during the battle to retake Mao Industries' Moon HQ.
SRW OGG[]
Calion Unit 1 appeared for 2 more times during OGG, which includes when leading a scouting team near Nevi'im during the Steel Dragon Squadron's showdown with Shadow-Mirror in a flashback scene, along with when Sleigh was investigating the whereabouts of the Hellgate. On the second occasion, Sleigh came under pursuit from a squad of Bartolls, but was rescued by the Kurogane crew.
Some time before 2nd OG, Sleigh switched from the Calion to the Vegalion built by Isurugi Heavy Industries. The Calion was never seen again.

Spider Net (スパイダーネット)
A special projectile used to reduce enemies' movement range. Only equipped on Unit 1.
Chaff Grenade (チャフグレネード)
A special projectile used to reduce enemies' accuracy. Only equipped on Unit 1.
Multi-Trace Missile
Wide-range missile salvo. MAP Attack. Only equipped on Unit 1.
Homing Missile (ホーミングミサイル)
Homing missiles for aerial combat.
Sonic Cutter (ソニック・カッター)
Thought to be derived from the Guarlion's Sonic Breaker. Concentrating induction fields in front of the aircraft's protrusions using Tesla Drives, the Calion rams the enemy, cleanly cutting them in half.
G-Driver (Gドライバー)
The Calion's strongest weapon, a pair of powerful railguns stored within the protrusion sections, revealed when the red tip covers flip up. The Calion first bombards the enemy with a barrage of Homing Missiles before unleashing the G-Drivers.
