The Bergelmir (ベルゲルミル) is an Banpresto Original mecha debuting in Super Robot Wars Alpha Gaiden.

Technological & Historical[]

Alpha Series[]

The Bergelmir is a machine used by the Ancestors. It's based off of the Huckebein Mk-II, but due to being injected with the machine cells, it forced it to change its shape and increases its performance, similar to the Thrudgelmir. It then becomes the Bergelmir. This machine is installed with the 'Game System', and is equipped with remote-controlled arms named the 'Six Slaves'. The Bergelmir's armor can self restore because of the machine cells. The machinery children Uruz, Thurisaz, and Anzuz all have their own custom version of the Bergelmir.

OG Series[]

The OG version of the Bergelmir remains mostly identical to its Alpha counterpart, save for that it now has the GEIM System and an additional Dao-like weapon called the Arm Nutter, which debuted in Super Robot Wars OG: The Inspector. This weapon, alongside the Linear Missile Launcher, were available to the mass-production Bergelmir units in The 2nd Super Robot Wars Original Generation.

Armaments & Attacks[]

  • Machinery Rifle

A compact-looking rifle whose front half is collapsible when not being used.

  • Arm Nutter

A Dao-like blade for melee combat. Only seen on Super Robot Wars OG: The Inspector and The 2nd Super Robot Wars Original Generation

  • Linear Missile Launcher

A missile launcher designed like a gatling gun and could fire several volleys of small-looking missiles successively. Only seen on Super Robot Wars OG: The Inspector and The 2nd Super Robot Wars Original Generation.

  • Six Slaves

The Six Slaves are six remote-control weapons that look like magatama. When activated, the two half of the "ring" where the Six Slaves are mounted detach themselves from the Bergelmir, then combine into a single ring. That ring then spins around the Bergelmir and shoots out several beam shots.
