History[]
Compact 3 Timeline[]
Alkaid Nassh is the leader of the Shura race. As his race was dying, he was struck with the decision to jump between dimensions, to find a new place for the Shura race to live the way it used to be: to continue fighting, as per their lifestyle and customs. He sets his sights on Earth, but as the former Shura home was dying, his power was diminishing. Upon arriving on the world, Alkaid allocated the command of the army mostly to his advisor, Mizal Touval. Though he was aware of Mizal's traitorous scheming, he didn't mind so much, as it also went along with the Shura's customs, creating more fights in the realm.
Eventually, Alkaid found Mizal dead by the hands of Folka Albark, Fernando Albark and Maythis Mark, the three having turned against their own society. Enraged, Alkaid prompted to slay them all, but only managed to kill Fernando and Maythis. When he encountered Folka again, Alkaid was totally defeated, as Folka has gained a new meaning and strength in fighting within his Londo Bell allies. After hearing his reasons, Alkaid felt satisfied that he could see how their race was going, and as Alkaid perished, the strife between dimensions created during the battle was repaired and everyone returned to their respective worlds.
Original Generation Timeline[]
In Super Robot Wars OG Gaiden, Alkaid brought forth the mobile space fortress, Swordian, of Super Robot Wars Scramble Commander, and makes it the fortress of the Shura Army. It is revealed that the Shura themselves stumbled upon the fortress after countless battles according to their lifestyle ruined their realm, and the fortress was brought to the current world without the Shura knowing how to properly function them. For that, Alkaid collaborated with Duminuss in order to learn the functions of the Fortress. But in exchange, Duminuss wanted the Shura to capture a certain girl, Shoko Azuma. Alkaid honored the will and assigned Folka Albark to complete the task and delegated his advisor Mizal Touval as his liaison to Duminuss to better decipher the Swordian Fortress' functions, especially the inner chamber. Mizal, despite being less of someone who plotted to take over the throne from Alkaid, ended up making a slow progress, showing the difficulty of the job. Alkaid pressured him by threatening that if Mizal did not finish the task in the given deadline, he'll just physically shatter through the inner chamber of the Fortress.
Throughout the process, Alkaid also sent out his men to spread the ways of the Shura to the Earth, which clashed horribly with the more peace-loving Earthlings not only caught the attention of the Earth Federation Forces, but also made Folka turn against him and joining the latter, trying to find out another way for the Shura to live outside constant carnage. As Folka eventually grew stronger and fell many Shura brethrens before him, Alkaid showed himself in his throne at the Swordian Fortress, beckoning Folka to challenge him to a deathmatch to see whose vision of Shura was right as well as the Earth Federation Forces, to see if they could withstand the fury of the race whose tradition were rooted from constant battle and carnage.
In the end, the Shura King lost, and he acknowledged Folka to be the better candidate to lead the Shura, dying with no regrets.
Trivia[]
- Much like how Folka is based on Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star, Alkaid is based on Raoh.
- Alkaid's title, Shura King, is read as "Shura-ou" in Japanese - excluding the "shu" makes it read with the same pronunciation as 'Raoh'.
- The character 覇, used in the name of Alkaid's Haou Ken fighting style and the names of the Raha Extim's attacks, is one used in Raoh's title, "Conqueror of the Century's End"(世紀末覇者 Seikimatsu Hasha).
- One of Alkaid's lines during the performance of the Haou Hametsu Ken is "Disappear beyond the deathly star!!" (死凶星の彼方に消え失せよ!! shikyosei no kanata ni kieuseyo!!) The "deathly star" mentioned, 死凶星, is similar to the "violent star" associated with Raoh, 暴凶星.
